Embassy spokesperson: China has all along upheld an objective and fair stance on the Ukraine issue, and has been actively working for peace talks and political settlement. We firmly oppose the UK’s sanctions on relevant businesses, which are unilateral actions that have no basis in international law. The Chinese side will take necessary measures to safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of Chinese businesses. The UK side must know that any action that harms China's interests will be met with our firm response.
