Wang Yi made field visits to the Youyi Pass Smart Port Construction Program, Chongzuo Area of China-ASEAN Industrial Cooperation Zone, Pingxiang Comprehensive Free Trade Zone, China-ASEAN (Chongzuo) Fruit Trading Center, Pingxiang Railway Port, China-Viet Nam Detian (Ban Gioc) Waterfall cross-border tourism cooperation zone, and others, and held a symposium to listen to the opinions and suggestions of relevant departments, grass-roots units and frontline staff in Guangxi.

Wang Yi said that Guangxi, as a key province on China's southwest border and an important "gateway" for exchanges and cooperation between China and ASEAN, occupies a unique position and undertakes a glorious mission in national development and diplomacy. Efforts should be made to follow the requirements of General Secretary Xi Jinping, actively serve the building of a China-ASEAN community with a shared future, deeply integrate into the Belt and Road cooperation, continuously boost the well-established credentials of the China-ASEAN Expo, and build a major international channel open to ASEAN.

Wang Yi stressed that Guangxi should strengthen exchanges and cooperation with Viet Nam, cement public support and social foundation for friendly relations between China-Viet Nam, continuously improve cross-border infrastructure connectivity, strive to build border ports featuring wisdom and convenience, complex development, friendly exchanges and comprehensive security, and make greater contributions to building a China-Viet Nam community with a shared future that carries strategic significance.
