On July 27, 2012, Representative of the Chinese Government and State Councilor Dai Bingguo visited the representatives of the Chinese journalists reporting the 30th Summer Olympics in London.

On behalf of the CPC Central Committee and the State Council, Mr. Dai Bingguo expressed warm greetings and good wishes to all the Chinese journalists reporting the Olympic Games. He hoped that everyone would uphold the Olympic spirit “higher, swifter, stronger”, and would make timely, comprehensive and accurate reports on the Olympic Games to show the presence of the Chinese Olympic athletes, actively report the wonderful performance of the athletes from various countries, and reflect the different cultural characteristics around the world in various ways. He hoped that in this way the journalists would contribute to promoting the Olympic movement and enhancing the friendly exchanges between China and the rest of the world and the friendship among peoples.
