Dai Bingguo Watches the Olympic Shooting Competitions and Meets with IOC President Jacques Rogge

On July 28, 2012, Representative of the Chinese Government and State Councilor Dai Bingguo watched the Women's 10m Air Rifle Final of the London Olympic Games. Chinese athlet Yi Siling won the first gold medal of the London Olympics with her outstanding performance. Mr. Dai expressed warm congratulations to the Chinese athletes and encouraged them to continue to win honor for the motherland.

Mr. Dai Bingguo also met with Jacques Rogge, President of the International Olympic Committee (IOC). He said that China supports the Olympic cause and is ready to further strengthen cooperation with IOC to make greater contribution to promoting the Olympic spirit, friendship between the peoples of the world and the world peace and development.

Mr. Rogge warmly welcomed the attendance of Dai Bingguo at the opening ceremony of the London Olympics on behalf of the Chinese Government. He thanked China for its active support and participation in the Olympic cause and wished greater success of the Chinese athletes in the London Olympic Games.
